{Continued from Call for Volunteers; Citizens not from Elysion are allowed to join.}
Time: After Golden Awakening, Before The Dark Moon Clan’s Party Begins.
The vacuum released them and Mercury took a deep breath; the transfer from Elysion to Earth was always a little disorienting, but at least the dust had settled in the city. The giant clouds of particles had only dispersed recently, and everything was covered in a layer of grime and concrete dust. Knowing better than to stay out in the open, Mercury put her arm out warningly and backed up to the broken façade of the Crown Arcade, putting a finger to her lips to signal that their ragtag bunch of volunteers should stay as quiet as they could. Some of them looked around in confusion, and while she understood why she didn’t comment as of yet. They were expecting NASA, Houston, or New York, and yet they found themselves in their own backyard at the Crown. They didn’t know what lay beneath the arcade floor; what hopefully still remained beneath the floor.
But as Mercury surveyed the demolished arcade, she started to lose hope. The computers… their connection to the Moon… her brow creasing, she turned to the heftier volunteers and directed, “Help me move this rubble; we need to see if we can find a way in. But keep quiet; we don’t know who’s watching.” In that vein, she summoned her computer and activated it, casting around in the faint afternoon light, searching for Dark Moon Clan signals.
Instead, she found the faint outlines of something curious in one of the nearby buildings... heat signals, large crates, a relatively untouched building... survivors? she thought to herself questioningly. Nodding for the volunteers to continue and shaking her head to Pluto, indicating that she didn't need any help (though she'd scream if she did), she went off to investigate....
