King Diamond

King Diamond
Dark Moon
Dark Moon

Diamond
25, Black Moon

-------------------------------------
General Information
-------------------------------------
Aliases : Darren
Rank : King of Earth
Status : In control
Powers : While the third eye of Wiseman has been erased, Diamond’s powers after Sin’s reawakening do not leave him powerless in the least. Along with the super strength and levitation the Dark Crystal grants to those loyal to it, Diamond also possesses superior speed, the ability to harness the Dark Crystal’s raw power at will, and the ability to control that power, to shape it into whatever form or purpose suits him.

Physical Description : Prince Diamond oozes elegance; from his refined bearing to his graceful poses, none could deny this man his royal claim. Tall, broad-shouldered, with alabaster skin and a beautiful, if cruel, face, he wears his power on his sleeve, in his glance, in every step, exuding confidence and self-assuredness, and, lately, pride at his impeccable win. His most expressive feature, if he had one, were his incredible silver-white eyes, eyes that can pin a minion in place just as easily as coax out information from an uncooperative source. However, like mice sensing a cat, those more in-tune with themselves can sense Diamond’s presence and react accordingly: fleeting or hardening themselves against him.
Uniform : Even through rebirth, Diamond’s chosen retire stayed with him. He wears an expensive white suit, the pants slinky and comfortable, yet appear rigid to the observer’s eye; his shoes, white with black accents, comfortable, despite retaining the sheen of newness. His high collared jacket, fastening up the middle, is stiff with starch, or so it would seem; in actuality it is ribbed with a strong alloy throughout the chest, solarplexis, and much of his abdomen, doubling as both a formitive aide and protection for the prince; if one were to attempt to punch him and he allowed them to, the knuckles of the offender would come away bleeding and bruised, while Diamond remained untouched, if angered by the new bloodstain on his snow-white apparel. To tie in his ties to his clan, stitched in intricate patterns throughout the front of his jacket is a deep purple thread, like the shadow of the moon, complimenting his black cape lined in that same purple. The cape is floor-length and made of the same slinky yet apparently rigid material as his pants; it never wafts in a breeze, yet he could easily pick up a corner and it reacts like water through a stream.

Play-By : Alex Pettyfer

History : His previous life, his failure, will forever be part of him, making him strive harder for a victory, but this time, for his reasons, the right reasons.

When he was young, he and his brother lived on the outskirts of Crystal Star and watched as the opulence of their ‘utopic’ present brought down humanity, how the long lifespans given to the populace made them careless, lazy, entitled, and completely undeserving of having life in the first place. They lived live from century to century, never for the minute, never truly living, never knowing the rush of nearly escaping death or the need to finish, to get things completed before they died. They were not truly living. They did not deserve to suffer a life such as that, and through researching history, the brothers found what had caused such a blatant disregard for the present: The White Moon Family. Their ‘benevolent’ Queen, King, Princess and their guardians – they were to blame. The only possible thing he could think to do to free the people from such a life was to rebel against the White Moon Kingdom and bring an end to their centuries-long rule.

So, he and his brother, taking on the pseudonyms Diamond and Sapphire, recruited an army made up of the young people of Crystal Star City, those that saw their slow-paced future and cringed, those that believed in him and saw the truth of the matter, and, together, they rose up to fight Queen Serenity… only to be defeated terribly. Their punishment for their crime of rebellion was twofold: First, banishment to the dark planet, Nemesis; Second… the leaders of their army, their cause, were sentenced with extended lifetimes and decelerated aging. The very thing they fought against… was their punishment.

So, Diamond, Sapphire, Rubeus, Emerald, and the other young members of their army were sent to Nemesis, where the first generation of heroes aged as humans did in the 20th century; in the blink of an eye, merely 80 years, they were all dead, but they lived their lives to the fullest. For them, it was a victory, despite the dead planet they were given: they were freed from the shackles of near immortality, and were grateful. Their children, the second generation of Nemesians, were less excited about their lot in life; while they had heard of the plight of Earth and Crystal Star from the time they were born, the dead planet that became their birthright was something they were angered about. And their children… their children cared for the planet even less; the long lifespan was nothing to them. The fourth generation of Nemesis came and went, but it was during the rise of the Fifth generation, when much of their population were in their teenage years or early twenties – that was when Diamond, still in his early twenties, rose again.

For that entire time, while he and Sapphire ruled over Nemesis, a mysterious man appeared to him and, over time, made Diamond come to believe that the long-lifespans he fought against was merely the least of the crimes of the White Moon Kingdom. Wiseman, as the cloaked figure called himself, gifted Diamond with the Malefic Black Crystal and its immense powers, and the new war on Crystal Star began.
------
His plan was flawless, perfect; but he lost, and before the end, he learned of Wiseman’s true intentions, about how Wiseman had used them, used him,to suit Nemesis’s purposes, and Diamond died in an attempt to reset the world and destroy Wiseman, but he failed at even that.
-----
When he was reawakened by a woman called Sin and told of the year and the status of Earth, he felt that now… now was the time to act. He could stop the future from ever coming to pass – he could keep people’s lifespans in the range they should be; no one would have to suffer through centuries of sloth. … and he could take Serenity, the beautiful Queen with the piercing eyes, for his own, and they could rule the Earth the right way… As members of his clan reawakened, a boy he had never encountered before with them, Sin granted them a new crystal, the Dark Crystal, with powers ten times that of the Black Crystal and effects less damaging to the planet, plans were set in motion for a new world order.

And this time, they were successful.
