Not As We Left It (Rini and the Quartet)

Everything had happened so fast, seconds really. There they all were, the four girls all crowded together in a pew, arms linked together as they ooo'd and ahh'd watching the original Senshi and their Princess walk down the aisle Everything had looked so beautiful, all the girls looked beautiful, the groom looked dashing..everything was perfect. When the music finally began for the bride the Quartet stood quickly, as giddy as ever. It was such a honor to be able to witness the Royal wedding....Even if they were not royals yet it was still something only the most trusted and loyal people to the crown had ever gotten to witness and now, here they were. As Serena started her walk down the aisle Iris was beside herself. She loved weddings: the pageantry, the dresses, the flowers, the cake..the romance. All of it was so lovely and she wished that some day she could have the same. Her wedding would be so grand..with acres and acres of flowers of every kind and it would rain petals and the cake would be pink with flowers and all the girls would be in pink and decorated in flowers...Oh, she could just imagine it. She must have been starring off into space because Vesta was nudging her in the side in between taking pictures.

The ceremony was beautiful and just as it was getting to the part everyone was waiting for, the kiss and the introduction of the new couple something terrible had happened. Diamond was fast, faster than any of them and while all the girls scrambled to grab their transformers and transform in front of all the stunned and gawking onlookers it was too late. The Queen was gone. That was not the end of it thou, as soon as the snake disappeared with their Queen the attacks begun, the Quartet quickly jumped in to protect their Princess, all of them surrounding Rini as they began to battle the warriors of the Black Moon. They had learned about these people in their training and Ceres did not understand how it was they were alive and well today but none of that mattered right now. Lets do this girls! The flower Senshi told her team and they all nodded, getting ready for the attacks. As they readied themselves Ceres saw the glint of a large, round garnet jewel out of the corner of her eye and felt her feet begin to leave the ground. It was Sailor Pluto, she was sending them back to the Future.

We can help you! Ceres yelled over the attacks

No, you must protect the Princess in her own time. It is not safe for her here Was all the Senshi of Time said before Rini and the Quartet were sucked into the time vortex.

It took only a moment to travel through the time stream but even that moment seemed like forever. The weight of knowing what had happened and what they were leaving behind was heavy on all of them and Ceres felt sorry for the Princess. Ceres remembered how happy Lady Serenity was when she finally got permission from the King and Queen to go back. She had talked about nothing else for three weeks...so much in fact that it had started to get on the leaders nerves. But, to see that happiness on her face was priceless and she was glad that the Princess would be able to enjoy herself without having to worry about being a Princess.

As their feet touched back down in the familiar fields of Thrieth Century Crystal Star Ceres couldn't help but gasp. This was not the bustling city they had left behind. In place of the glorious and beautiful Crystal Palace stood and dark monstrosity that was a exact copy. Instead of seeing the united earth flag waving proudly it had been replaced by a dark purple flag with a black inverted moon on it.

What happened? Pallas asked quietly, crossing her arms close to her body and hugging herself.

Yeah...this isn't right. Juno took a few steps closer but stopped. Something doesn't feel right..

Ceres rolled her eyes at her sister Of course something doesn't feel right! Does that look right to you?! She yelled while pointing to the Dark Crystal Palace
The green Senshi turned and glared at the older one

You don't think... Again Pallas words were soft but they held such a strong meaning behind them.

Juno's eyes immediately softened and looked to where Rini and Vesta were standing, the red head comforting the Princess. Ceres realizing this was not the time to start petty arguments with her sisters and did the same.

Come on, lets find somewhere safe to go until we can figure out whats going on Vesta finally said as she ushered Rini along with her while the others followed. The question was, where could possibly be safe here?

The day started out normally. Rini got ready for the wedding, which was set up romantically. She went and bid her future parents good luck before going to sit down up front since Serena didn’t really have her in the wedding. Not that she really wanted to, a cold shoulder was given to the expecting couple since they found out they were pregnant.

The wedding started, Darien walked down the aisle, glowing, and Rini was starting to get bored. Call it immature, but today was supposed to be fun, but all Rini could see what as soon as they say ‘I Do’ she would be transported back to the future.

Which is what happened.

Prince Diamond appeared and basically took Serena away.

It was bad enough that Rini was whisked away from the scene and sent back to the future. She had all but glanced at Pluto when the bright red light surrounded her. When she landed by the Moon Palace, her sailor uniform was changed into her royal garbs. She glared at the ground and her hands turned into fists. No. This could not be happening.

She ran her hand down her pigtail and she looked at her scouts. She pulled out her broach and opened it while Cere, Palla and Juno conversed and Vesta came over and stood by her. The crystal lost its sparkle.

Rini said nothing as Vesta walked with her. “We are the only one’s here…while Diamond has Serena…there is no future…” She finally said to her girls. Rini closed her broach and put it back. Rini stopped walking and looked around. “We have to get back there. We have no use here.” she looked at the quartet. “Are you in?”

Ceres shook her head, she knew Rini wanted to get back to help but it wasn't a smart move. Pluto sent
us back for a reason..It's dangerous for you to exist in two places at once.


The other girls nodded but Juno seemed to feel the same as their princess. What can we do here? If we go back-

No Ceres said again, more fiercely this time. we can't risk the princesses life...we should try to find the 30^th century Senshi..give them what help we can. Find out what happened and get Small Lady somewhere safe. The other Senshi couldn't be too far from here right? Someone still had to be fighting the good fight, they had to be.

"Ceres. Look around. There is no one here but us. Even if the 30th century senshi are here they wont be here fully. Everything now relies on what is going on with the girls in the past." Rini said looking over at here. What ever happens in the past affects the future and that is what worries Rini. They could see the future change right infront of their eyes. "No one is here." Rini looked away to the distance aand blinked away tears again. She couldn't even go and help fight. She didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to Helios. What was the fairness in that?

Ceres knew that this was all very hard and a lot to take in for Rini but they had to do something, it wasn't safe for the princess to be back in the past..even being there the little time she had while Serena had been pregnant had been dangerous but now, with her life in danger in both times they had to be extra careful. ”We at least need to try.” The Harvest Senshi said gently while walking over to the other pink haired girl and putting her hand on her shoulder. ”You are Sailor Moon now, and people here need you. We at least have to try to look for the others and see what we can do here.”

Pallas stepped up next to her sister and then to Rini and wrapped her arms tightly around her, her big blue eyes looking worried and sad ”we can do it, together.”

Rini hugged her back and soon sighed. "I guess. She replied. Although the possibility of finding the pat scouts really didn't seem probably to the princess, she nodded and let go of Pallas and started to walk. "Okay, so it will take us forever as a group, we need to split up. We need to figure out a way to get a hold of each other if we see something." She was hoping one of them would speak up saying they had an idea.

Why didn't she get more practice with this?

Ceres nodded her head in agreement when Rini...no, Sailor Moon suggested they split up.  Vesta and Juno head west and Pallas, the Princess and I will head east.  Everyone keep your communicators on and at the ready...we are in hostile land and don't know whats changed.

We'll find them Juno said as she walked over to Rini and put her hands on her shoulder

Yeah I'm sure they are around here somewhere! Pallas said, the ever optimistic one.  

Ceres hugged her sisters good bye and sent Juno and Vesta on their way, worried about what the girls would....or wouldn't find.  As the green and red senshi disapeard over the hill the pink leader turned and looked at the other two girls.  Well, shall we?

Rini nodded, not saying anything before walking east. She placed her hands infront of her as she looked around. The biggest change was her hair, her pigtails have grown even more than normal and her gown was moving right along with her with a train in the back. When she moved her head she felt the tiara shift a bit. She wished she knew where everyone was, but the thought was that their spirits were on Earth, they wouldn't be here because if this was the future, everyone was dead. Rini saw the castle and she headed towards it.

When it was reached, Rini put her hand flat against the door and blinked back tears. The girls were so optimistic, but there was no future as long as the Black Moon had anything to do with it.

As they walked Ceres did not see the use for words at the moment, everyone was feeling very sullen with the events that had transpired and no one knew how to handle it. Which made things very hard on the
Quartet leader, her sisters and her Princess were all dealing with the tragic loss in their own way and Ceres did not know how to help them...and it made her feel helpless. As Pallas, Rini and her walked
Ceres kept up the silence but stayed vigilant of their surroundings, making sure there was no unfriendlies in the area and the longer they walked without coming across anyone..human or otherwise started to worry
her. As they neared the palace and Rini laid her hand on the door Ceres did not like how no one was here to greet them and looking around it seemed like Pallas was feeling the same. The younger one standing
there with her arms up near her face in a very comforting way as if she was trying to make herself feel better.

I think it would be wise for you to transform. Ceres said while looking back at Rini. This felt like a trap and they needed to be prepared for anything that was about to come their way.

OCC:

Rini took out her broach and held it tight before pressing the button. "Moon Crisis Make-up!" A glowing light formed around Rini as her gown was replaced with her senshi uniform. her broach was placed at her bosom and she looked down at the new uniform. "Show's how long it's been since I have done this.." Rini's hair was slightly longer than her puffy pigtails she used to have, and her once bright pink and red uniform had dulled to create a more mature version of the one she had when she was little. She smiled a bit at Ceres and moved her hair to behind her shoulders and with a slight nod, she walked over to the door and grasped the handle, but she didn't have to pull it, it opened on it's own.

Meanwhile, in the castle, a wicked smile formed on the woman's face. "Welcome back Sailor Mini Moon." The woman stood up, allowing her gown to flow around her feet as she waited for the senshis to come and find her.

Ceres watched and waited while her princess transformed and when all was finished she admired the new fuku design. It suited the princess...still had that cute innocence that Rini had but also held a maturity that Rini was starting to show, as the warrior princess stood before her Ceres slightly bowed her head and Pallas looked on in wonder. What should we do now Sailor Moon? This was Rinis time to shine now...in their time...well, the future that they came from there had been no need for the Sailor Senshi but they still trained and now it was time for Rini to show what she was made of as a leader.

As the princess moved to open the palace door Ceres and Pallas followed behind and as the door opened easily a uneasy feeling came across the flower Senshi. Something was not right...there were no one here to meet them..no 'welcoming party' so to speak and without a immediate attack that meant only one thing. Trap. Be on your guard girls... Ceres said warringly..They needed Juno and Vesta, hopefully they got to them in time and before something happened.

Rini took in a deep breath. "Exactly. Be on your guard." Rini held out her hand and focused as she made a glowing ball of light appear. "No one is here Ceres. Atleast...no one we know. Something about this seems all too familiar. And I don't like it." The thought of where Palla and Juno were was starting to worry Rini. She looked back out the door. "You take that door, and I'll take this one. Only look on this floor. Once the other two come back, we will look on higher levels." Rini said.

The other pink haired girl eyes were trained on their surroundings, trying to take in everything at once and make sure no one could sneak up on them. As Rini created the ball of the light Ceres pink eyes were drawn from trying to spot a attack and watched, curious as to what the young leader was doing. However, once Rini said that no one familar was here the womans eyes were back to their scanning. Nothing about this seemed right and if they had been anyone else she would have suggested they leave quickly and put as much distance between them and this place but...that was not a option.

Ok. Ceres and Pallas said in unison when Rini told them to check the other doors, each girl walking to a different one and pulling it open, making sure it was secured before moving on to the next. Everything still looked the same, expect the fact that the walls were a dark purpleish black color instead of the pristine white their Crystal Palace had been.

Rini walked over to another door and opened it, she let the ball of light enter the room and she looked around, even stepping inside. Something was vastly different, and she didn't like it. Rini walked around a bit, looking for the light switch, but it wasn't there. "Fantastic." she said softly before calling the light back to her and she walked out of the room. "Girls?" she asked, not seeing them.

Ceres walked into a room and looked
around, having to strain her eyes against the darkness until they
adjusted, walking around Ceres explored the room, bringing her hand
up and generating her own light with her power like she had seen
Sailor Moon do before she left. Better The pink haired
warrior said while holding her hand up and above her head, letting
the yellow glow spill over everything. As the light creeped it way
across the objects in the room it fell on something in paticular that
made Ceres gasp. Quickly she ran out of the room to find the
others, nearly running into Rini.





Pallas! She said loud enough for
the other to hear while grabbing Rini's hand and pulling her into the
room she had just exited and pointed to the wall we have a big
problem. Again she created the yellow glow and shown it on the
main wall of the room, on the wall was a large portrait of the King
and Queen...only it wasn't Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion..it
was King Diamond and Queen Serenity.

It was fast and it was quick. Rini hearx a gasp and turned before seeing Ceres grab her wrist and yank her into another room. Rini looked at her confused before watching Ceres create the ball of light. Rini turned to the portrait and stared, her mouth slightly open as no sound came out. Rini walked over and traced the portrait. " No....no. Absolutely not. My mother would never marry him. " Rini blinked back tears. " This is a trap, we need to get out of here. This is not home. "

Ceres had to agree with Rini on one thing right now..they needed to get out of here Lets go find the others.. she said while grabbing a hold of Rini's gloved hand and pulling her away from the painting and out of the door to go find Pallas. She didn't know what was going on but it seemed to her that the Queen did indeed marry Diamond, the flower Senshi was sure there had to be a reason behind it but before they could figure that out they needed to meet up with Vesta and Juno.

Juno hadn't liked the idea of splitting up much; not with all this confusion going on around them. It was the fear of the unknown that gnawed at her mind. As a solider it wasn't her job to be frightened or complain it was to investigate, fight and protect whatever she came across. She couldn't psyche herself out; not now. Not when the princess, the Quartet and the kingdom needed her the most. But seriously, they go to see a wedding and come back to a different future? It was incredibly bizarre.

Juno and the other Quartet solider hadn't found anything on their investigation and they both couldn't help but feel even worse vibes than when they got here. Juno suddenly stopped in her tracks with her arms locked at her sides and hands balled into clenched fists.

"Screw this! We have ta get back to the palace! Somethin's not right!" She barked out, and, thankfully, her sister agreed as quickly as Juno thought she would.

They suddenly did a turn about and ran as fast as they could east heading to where the palace was. It was important they get back to protecting Sailor Moon. What was this horrible feeling? Hopefully they were okay on their end and if not, at least hanging on until they arrived. Juno's eyebrows knitted in concern as her face twisted in frustration and determination. If only she could will her legs to go faster.

Ceres dragged Sailor Moon out of the room and almost colided with Pallas once they exited but now that they had found the other Senshi it was time to regroup with the others and get out of here.  

Lets go find Juno and Vesta. Ceres said to which Pallas nodded, looking just as uneasy as the others.    

Ceres didn't understand what had happened, she didn't know why their future was this way...perhaps the Senshi of the past had been unable to retrieve the queen?  But...if that was true then that would mean that this new enemy was extremly powerful and that....No.  She refused to believe that, the Senshi had to be here somewhere, they had to be figuring out something to do.  Had to.  Another thing was eating at the back of her mind.  If the Queen had indeed turned then what would have happened to the princess?  That thought made the leaders stomach drop and she did not want to think about it.  All she knew was that their top priority was protecting Rini now.

Rini ran behind the two, her mind racing, trying to figure out what kind of future is this. But as soon as the four of them met up, all doors closed around them and seemed to have faded. "Everyone be prepared, we're going to fight!" Rini said and widened her stance as her mind suddenly became alert and she looked around. 

"Who are you! What are you doing here?!" Rini cried out to the room, waiting for an answer.

They were able to catch up and it was like a weight lifted off Juno once she realized the whole group was okay. It wasn't too long before danger sprung on them though, at the very least, something akin to danger. Nothing had yet to attack them, doors just simply shut and locked them in but that was enough to send a red flag up. It was a trap. Juno gritted her teeth. They'd just gotten here and already they were tossed into the frying pan. The moment the doors had closed though Juno broke into formation, it was their duty to protect the Princess so she posted herself on one side of her, expecting her sisters to take up other sides. Her eyes would circle around the place trying to figure out what direction the danger would come from. She was now awaiting for any danger that may come their way or a command on what they should do next. Either way, she was on guard as harsh glances shifted about cautiously.
