The New Rule (All Black Moon Members)

A cat moves into the palace gardens, slipping past the guards whom are either busy, drunk, uncaring, watching the TV airing the King's crowning or just simply stupid enough not to care. The youma easily gets in unnoticed by eyes but by almost all cameras moving the way - just that it is disregarded. Finally landing at the garden's ornamental metallic gate, she climbs and hop into the garden: then out of the thorny flowers with a loud and painful mrow. She shakes herself and licks her wounds, then progresses forward. She got important messages to the king now, and he seen the face enough to find the person!

The problem is that she just needs to get into the castle, which is nigh-impossible as she got no tools, no thumbs and especially: no respect...

She got near a huge window and peeked in when something big happened: sharp light of white blinded her for a second, then when she managed to get back her sight, she stopped with a plainly not understanding face and stance: some woman with a gold-ish crown looks on her hair. The King stands... Ummm, in a human way. Then she freezes again: that woman! That mark! She seen that mark somewhere befo- of course, that heart-snatching cat Luna! She grew angry and wanted to get to cat and duel her to the first blood. That is unacceptable! She starts to run from window to window to find one that opens to her touches and get into the room. Who cares of anything, it is important, more so than some guys doing some bad stuff in the ruined downtown!

Jade stayed where she had been standing she was close enough she could hear what was being said but she was more than comfortable leaned against the pillar. She shot a few more glares at the humans looking at her or more specifically the black moon on her head. You would think none of them had seen a member of the black moon before which she knew to be untrue now. she smirked when they looked away and back at Diamond. Her attention went back to what was happening up in front of all of them. She wasn't stupid enough to think that everyone thought they were victorious after all they wouldn't have her in the city patrolling and looking to keep the senshi out if everyone was sure of their win. She herself felt confident that the senshi wouldn't do anything what with the threat to the future princess. She smirked as soon as diamond crowned himself king. When the Humans all went to a knee Jade bowed respectfully but that was it not once did she get down as low as any of the humans. Jade was secure in the feeling that she was above all of them. As far as the green haired woman was concerned her family was better than any of these humans but she didn't say a word. No sooner had she stood up straight she was leaning against the pillar. she glanced around but didn't make a move. she was pretty sure tormenting some humans right now would get her on Diamonds bad side and she wanted to avoid that.

As soon as he crowned Serenity Jades eyes narrowed. Diamonds obsession for the Queen had gotten her killed once fallowed closely by the rest of the family. their plans had been for nothing. Jades distaste for the woman could be seen clearly on her face yet she made no attempt to hide it. As long as she didn't touch Serenity Diamond couldn't say a word. OK so he could but it's not like he can really do anything to her. She was the best spy the black moon had to offer so she was pretty sure of herself in terms of her survival Diamond wouldn't be stupid enough to get ride of his spy when she was the only one he had. Her father after all was no longer among them so he couldn't take on her patrols and she had no siblings after all her mother had run off before she could have a brother or sister.

Pyrite liked how Dot thought. His grin was quintessentially childish, biting his lower lip in excitement as he watched Emerald with the Wicked Sisters and waiting for her to break away with one of her admirers. It was a good plan; they might even be able to get away with it if Emerald was alone! It’d be her word against theirs, if they were caught! And he was good at using the Dark Crystal, so he could teleport away before she even knew what hit her!

As he was waiting with Dot for something to happen with the loud-laughing general, Sapphire said something and the crowd quieted and Diamond came in with his Serenity. Pyrite beamed and waved, but the two of them looked preoccupied. They ascended the stairs to the dais and the dark thrones he and Dot had played around before the move happened; he made his way forward to talk to Diamond but stopped with he started to speak; Diamond asked very little of him, but one of the main things – besides ‘Don’t leave the palace alone’ – was ‘Don’t interrupt me when I’m speaking. Especially to a crowd.’ So he paused, and he waited.

What Diamond said was long and kinda boring, but everyone around him was looking at him intently, so he tried to keep his eyes on his brother, too. It quickly became a game – gasp when the people around him gasped, whisper when they whispered – he didn’t say anything, but ‘psst pssst’ing was fun enough to do without actually talking to anybody. He moved his hands, too, sometimes like he was mad and other times like he was happy, holding his belly like a larger man was doing to his left. … that guy didn’t look happy, though; more like he had a stomach ache, but it was fun to pretend.

And then Sapphire was walking forward and everyone stood stark-still. The crowns were pretty. Each was black and filled with black colored crystals – he thought he sensed the Dark Crystal’s presence among them, but with each Black Moon Clan wearing a fragment of the crystal in their ears – well, not him, but he didn’t want a needle in his ear so Diamond didn’t make him get one – it wasn’t really weird or anything. When everyone knelt down to his brother, he looked around to see what Rubeus was doing, then bowed with a flourish to copy him. Everyone stood and he straightened; then Serenity’s crown was placed on her head and this weird pink and white light burst out of her.

He recognized the pins-and-needles feeling as it passed through him, but his power was different from the Dark Crystal’s. It was warm. He liked it; it felt like sinking into the bathtub, or getting a hug. But it disappeared quickly, and when he looked back up front, Serenity’s hair was white and her skin was pale; she looked taller, too; and on her forehead, rather than a black upside-down moon like on his head and on everyone else’s head, her crescent was right-side up, and was golden. He tilted his head; it was weird. Pretty, but weird.

Everyone around him was quiet, so he stayed quiet, too, and looked around at is family to see what he was supposed to be doing. Rubeus smirked, so he smirked too.

Diamonds speech, while uplifting to the frightened people of this shattered world she was sure Ruby simply found it boring and a small yawn escaped her. She couldn't wrap her head around why Diamond was putting up such a large charade, yes he had his 'Queen' but he had already won, there was no longer a need to pretend. They were the ultimate rulers of this world, they could do as they pleased when they pleased and here he was making it sound like he was remorseful. If she had been in charge this would have all gone very differently, the humans would be in chains and they would have stomped everything they loved to the ground and build monuments to honor their great victory.

As Sapphire carried the crowns over to Diamond Ruby could hear everyone in the crowd hold their breath. This was it, this was their shinning moment, the time had finally come for them to take their rightful place...and even if it wasn't her ideal place Ruby supposed she could deal with it...for the time being.

Bow to your King

Ruby did as her King demanded and bowed, looking around with a smirk when she saw that all the humans in the room had taken a knee. Yes, they were lower, they were beneath them all and it was good that they finally found their place. Standing up right once Diamond was crowned Ruby's slight smirk turned to a scowl as the King picked up the smaller crown and walked to Serenity. It had taken so much will power for her to keep herself from sending a powerful stream of dark energy at the woman, Ruby hated her with all of her being and now she had to answer to the enemy. It was a joke.

Once the crown was placed a bright, clean light burst from Serenity, causing Ruby to bring her hand up to shield her eyes. Was that the power of the silver crystal? That was impossible..

When the light cleared Ruby dropped her hand and looked at the white haired woman. Well, it seemed Diamond had a plan all along but now he had to explain this to the frightened and confused masses.

This has got to be one of the stupidest things he had ever done and he had done some stupid things in his past. The freshest one coming to mind was playing with the heartstrings of Sailor Venus..which of course he had no idea who she had been at the time, Mina was just another conquest, another notch in his bedpost. Boy had he been wrong. She had talked him into being her date to her friends wedding and Ash wasn't one to turn down a chance to go to a wedding...lots of vulnerable and lonely women at those...Bridesmaids..so he thought it might be fun and a good chance to stake out some new prospects and everything had been going fine until...

God, even thinking about it now he still couldn't believe it.

He had been sitting there, bored as hell in the pew while the ceremony had been going on, checking out Mina's friends all of which were lookers and then the Bride..The vows started and then...then the attacks started. Now, Ash was not a guy that got scared easily, he had been overseas and covered a bit of the war there and had been put in he middle of a firefight. So he was used to and prepared for such a thing but this, this was something a person could not prepare for. It started out innocent enough at first...well, as innocent as something like that could be. First a strong wind picked up and he assumed that someone had opened a window or something but then the wind started to swrill and gain in strength and then this blackness cycloned around them and in the middle this man with white hair was floating in the center of it. Everything from that point on was one big blur, the bride was taken and all the bridesmaids started yelling out these phrases before being engulfed in a bright light of varying colors.

Ash had taken cover behind the pew he had been in while the rest of the guest tried to run for the doors which had been blocked by other supernatural beings. He couldn't believe what was going on, his whole career he had wanted to get a exclusive with the Sailor Senshi and here they were...all of them, in front of him, had transformed in front of him, he had dated one of them, this was a reporters dream and just when he thought things would be getting good the white haired man disappeared with the bride and the bridal party disappeared as well. Well, that was no good.

The events after that were hard to remember, Ash made it out of the church in one piece only to be thrown into the worst war he had ever seen...it wasn't even really a war, it was a slaughter. These aliens were demolishing the city and people were taking cover where ever they could find. The days after were long and horrible, Ash hid in the crumbled buildings for days trying to think of a plan. He had heard word that their new overlords were offering those that wished it a chance to join them and he wouldn't lie if he said it wasn't tempting a 'if you can't beat them join them' kind of thing but..looking around at what these people did..even he wasn't that shallow. It was then and there that Ash came up with a plan, he would infiltrate and gather information and help those he could and maybe...possibly he would run into Mina...err...Sailor Venus again and pass on his information.

There you are! A high pitched sequel said as a white haired woman with a long braid down her back and a smaller one across her forehead said, catching up with him and wrapping her arms around his. I thought I lost you she cooed while batting her eyelashes at him

Of course not beautiful, was just getting us a drink. Ash told her while holding up two crystal glasses of champagne and handing one off to the woman.

During his attempts to infiltrate Ash ran across a group of sisters that seemed to be within the inner circle of this hierarchy and lucky for him...they were quiet shallow and it was not hard for him to weasel and charm his way into this party. The youngest one (at least he assumed with how she acted...but they were all very similar so it was hard to tell) was the easiest to hook and he had been her escort for the night. It was fairly easy to get in but he would be damned if this woman ever let him out of her site and the first moment he had to slip away he did, going through the crowd and looking at the people that were there, listening in on conversations and recording what he could for later use.

Oh goody! The woman said as she took the drink and dragged Ash back toward the front to where her sisters and another red headed woman were gathered. Ash stood there, letting the sisters hang over him but keeping his distance for the red headed woman...she looked like she would eat him alive...literally. After a while of this Ash was getting tired of being in the middle of the feeding frenzy and just as he was about to attempt to slip away again the ceremony started.

Ash stuck his hand into his suit pocket and clicked on his recorder as the man in white he had seen the other day stepped into the room, followed by the woman he had taken. A twang of sadness came over him when he saw how frightened the woman was...what was the point of taking her? And why her? Sure she was good looking but there were plenty of women here that were attractive and more attractive than her and really, crashing a wedding?

Obviously there was a lot he didn't understand which was why Ash was sure to pay close attention to every word this man said, sure this was all televised but it was amazing what information you could gather when people didn't think anyone was listening.

The speech was rather...well, it was hard to control his emotions. This guy...Diamond as he heard him called was really full of himself and as he stood up on his little stage and explained how things would be from now on, how they would all be united under the Black Moon, whatever that meant. This guy was really insane. Ash really felt the need to speak out, espically when Diamond crowned himself and named himself King, demanding everyone bow. His jaw tightened as he bowed, watching as the people around him took a knee. Seeing that made him angry, did no one have any fight left in them? Were they all really that willing to accept this man as their ultimate ruler? Had they forgotten the three horrible and destruction filled days that led up to him taking over? Ash's hands balled into fist as he straightened up, watching as the 'King' picked up the other crown and placed it on Mina's friends head.

The light that came after the crown was placed on her head was blinding and Ash did not hide the fact that he had to bring his hand up to block his eyes, once it disappeared and he dared look again the woman that had been standing in front of them all looked different. Diamond did say that this woman had been Sailor Moon, and Ash believed it after seeing her friends transform but what was standing before them now was not Sailor Moon...at least not one he remembered seeing. Her hair was white...almost everything about her was white, like a living statue. She had a strange beauty about her and a feeling of being extremely old...and the mark that was on her forehead was similar to those that now ruled this world. Things had definitely made a interesting turn.

The four sisters that were around him all cheered as this was all going on...it sounded like they had known this woman before and they were all excited in their own way of the events taking place. As they continued to chatter on like a bunch of mimicking birds Ash decided he needed to slip away and get closer to what was going on near the thrones. Slowly he slipped past the sisters and moved his way through the crowd, getting as close as he could and listening to everything Diamond had to say. Something he would say would come of use....had to.

"Do you see?" Diamond asked rhetorically, relieved by the transformation, pleased by the reaction of the room, and confident now in his plan; surely they were what was best for Earth, surely this Crystal that bore him was good, else the transformation might not have occurred. Her latent powers would have rejected the crystal altogether, would they not? But instead she accepted the power, and it transformed her, just as her own crystal had on many occasions before. The Dark Crystal was an alternative to the Silver Moon Crystal. A good, just alternative to the terrifying world of Crystal Tokyo. The whole night was going as planned (for the most part; but Serenity's stubbornness would fade with time), and with the fight behind him and their reign ahead, he relaxed. "My Queen is as I said she was - the Protector of Earth, Sailor Moon; her insignia proves that beyond a shadow of a doubt. That our Dark Crystal has caused this transformation in her only validates what I have told you. We are good. We are just. We are the future, and your futures are safe in our hands."

He stepped beside her, took her free hand in his, and held it up for the crowd. He was done with speeches. With a graceful step backwards he lowered himself into his throne and nodded to proceed with the festivities; perhaps starting with a toast? He was thirsty... but he would not be the one to offer his own toast.

Serena's head felt like it was full of air and she wasnt trying to poke fun at her usual airheadedness. She was very lightheaded, her last encounter with the Dark Crystal had caused something similar, it drained her and made her feel weak and this new crystal was no different. Just as she felt like she was about to fall back Diamond had stepped forward and took her hand, only this time Serena did not have it in her to protest in any way. When he said his words and stepped back Serena followed while sitting in her own throne, putting her head in her hand once she was finally seated. I don't feel well. She said quietly so Diamond could hear her.

(meh, sorry about the sucky post. I had one all planned out eariler then I went to work and now...this.)

When Diamond and his toy were finally crowned King and Queen Ruby took it upon herself to raise her glass of champagne in the air. Long live King Diamond she said loudly, the others of their family quickly joining in and raising their glasses as well with joyous enthusiasm, the ordinary citizens following suit as well but with quieter exclamations.

The four sisters all happily raised their glasses and cheered obnoxiously causing Ruby to chuckle slighty as the music once again began playing and the party resumed. It was good to win.

Tilting his head slightly towards Serenity, his eyes scanning the crowd to find their focus, he quickly assessed their situation; this was their party, one to celebrate their rule and their reign, but it was clear to anyone that his Queen was feeling unwell. Whether from the child, or her body's reaction to food for the first time in days, or perhaps an effect of the Crystal on her, while the source of her discomfort was unknown the clamminess of her skin and the sick-sheen pale of her face made it obvious she was uncomfortable. He could send her to her chambers alone and celebrate with his family, as his family might enjoy... he could simply escort her to the door to seem gentlemanly; but how would his actions be taken by the public? He claimed her as his Queen, crowned her, and then abandoned her when she was obviously sick? And what of her? He wished to change her; not drastically so, not at first, but leaving her would not be beneficial to his relationship to her.

Glancing around the room he really assessed his own feelings on this party; it was indeed a celebration meant for them, his family, but while he knew he held their respect and loyalty, part of him recognized that they would have a better time without him watching over them; he had a tendency to make some nervous. Besides all that, what he preferred at the moment was a soft chair, some wine, and maybe a bit of music...

Two birds, one stone; he'd just leave with her.

With Ruby's bold and proud declaration ringing through the air, Diamond's eyes found her and he smiled, lifting his glass appreciatively to accept the toast and taking a slow sip of the bubbly liquid to wash down and internalize the wish.

Once the moment was over, whispering quietly, he answered Serenity's subdued, distressed plea with a call for patience, "We will leave soon; just hold on for a few moments as any additional speeches, toasts, or well-wishes are shared, and then we will retire to let the party come to full swing."



((er, how was that? Part of me wants to play a Diamond who wants Serenity to fall in love with him, the other wants him to simply see and use Serenity as a tool, and I want to merge the two so he's ruthless and cunning but also charming and seductive, I'm just afraid I'm going too soft with him and he's losing his edge. :/
... but maybe losing his edge around her is okay? IDEK I know he'll help turn her evil XD Maybe he's going for a dependant relationship at first? And then enjoying as she branches out and away from him with her lust for not-so-benign power?))

We? Serena thought to herself, this was not a invitation for him to come with her. She was feeling ill. It seemed that all of the emotional trauma from the past few days combined with all of this had finally taken its toll and all Serena wanted to do was go back to her room and sit, quietly and alone. She had filled her obligations here, there was no longer a reason for her to stay. Finding her strength Serena looked at Diamond with hard, determined eyes as she pushed herself up from the throne. He may have her here but he did not control her, she would fight him every way she could, even if it was just by doing little things like this, she had no intention of making any of this easy on him.

Enjoy your party. Serena told Diamond curtly and once she was standing Serena began heading down the small stairs that elevated their chairs and made her way toward the door with her head held high and a determined step in her walk. Small acts of defiance was all she had and she would play them up as best she could. As she walked party goes parted ways and bowed when she passed them. The moment she was finally out of the room Serena did not stop her persistent walking until she was back in her room. Once she was she ripped the tiara from her head and threw it as far from her as possible, feeling instantly better the moment it was off.

As the important events unfold, some window shakes with a relative silent thup - Letrune, whom run into the window with all her speed, didn't counted with the glass' natural strength and just bounced off. However, when she finds the window that is open a bit on the rear, she manages to slip into the ballroom, and aims herself forward, ignoring everyone and everything, the banquette, the raised glasses and the cheers, going toward Serenity to strike down (no need to ask how, she doesn't have a plan either). Sadly she gets held up, and Serenity goes out of the door before she could act, closing it before the cat, who, in her anger, curses in various hisses and some audible human words (like "curses" and "should they step on your tail").
Then she realizes how stupid she behaves.

"Pardon my language." looking around, on the small circle that could hear her, and she plans her escape route. She totally not wishes to be dusted out, but she messed it up and now she has to climb from the hole she dug herself.

His eyes followed her as she left, his mind calculating his next step, his response; his Queen had just left the room without him. Members of the crowd backed away to let her past, but after they bowed to her he caught them glance nervously at him, gauging his reaction. Did they take him for a fool? Did they believe her to be in charge, that she was just humoring him? Anger bubbled under his surface, a low boil that would simmer for hours if necessary. Serenity would hear from him about this.

But not now. Chasing after her would be a sure sign of weakness. So he sat back on his throne and swapped thoughts of wine and music for notions of how to correct his Queen's behavior.

Jade was still standing next to the pillar she had originally been leaning on. When she heard Ruby she fallowed suit raising her glass repeating her with a smirk on her face. It was good to be on top that was for sure. Even as the family’s spy she still had fun with the weaker citizens. Oh yes the green haired woman had gone on a terrorizing spree and enjoyed every second of it. She was just happy to know that none of the senshi were stupid enough to venture into the city. She was also a bit disappointed she wanted to have some fun with them. An almost malicious look passed through her eyes momentarily.

Her attention snapped to Serenity when she walked out without Diamond she shot a dirty glare at the woman’s back. Who did she think she was disrespecting their king like that. A few mutters could be heard around her at the action to which she glared them all into silence. Jade was not someone to be messed with and the little people were starting to learn that quickly. She knew why they feared her and that was because she could easily be among them at any time in various different forms and they would never know it.

Peridot had opted to watch everything from a distance, not having the stomach to watch Diamond crown himself King. She should be happy, this was something she was supposed to have wanted. They were finally in control but after having Lita as a friend...a real friend she knew that this was all wrong. Diamond had no right to do what he was doing and he needed to be stopped but, she couldn't stop him. No, Peridot couldn't do it alone, she would need help, she would need help of the Sailor Senshi...not that they would ever agree to help her after she betrayed them.

When Diamond had explained who Serena was to everyone Peridot listened. She still couldn't believe that she had been so close to her and the other Sailors without knowing it. It would explain why she felt such a connection with Lita but still. As the tiara was placed on the woman’s head and the light burst forth Peridot covered her eyes and levitated slightly to get a better look at the new queen once the light was gone. She was beautiful...elegant and...sad.

Peridot did not understand the purpose of a wedding, or know the true feeling of love but Lita's friends looked so happy on that day and Dot envied them. Ripping that girl away from that was cruel of Diamond. The longer this went on the more Dot's eyes were starting to open and she knew she had to do something.

As Ruby raised her glass in a toast Peridot half heartily raised her own glass but she did not say anything. Instead she quietly drank her drink before setting the glass down on the nearest surface. She was just about to excuse herself when she noticed the new Queen leaving..without Diamond. Dot watched, curious as to what had just happened but the look on Diamonds face showed that he was not happy, even if he tried to hide it. Maybe she should follow her, keep a eye on the Lunar woman....she would need a friend here after all.

The whole world seem crazy around Letrune thought she got no huge objection. People are talking, and doing some glass raising, like in some operetta or something, nobody minding her as she aims herself going toward the throne - then derailing in mind and track towards some small gourney-like syuff (as she got no name for serving tables) and aim to eat something from it. Hopping on it a servant looks on her stupid then shoos her away, the youma going off from the table... But if she would know her place, she might just talk back instead of the year-old experiences of fleeing.
She wished something very important... What it could have been...?

Glancing around she finds Peridot mid-air and it exceeds her knowledge how she can do it. Maybe she is a bird? The thought makes her purring and laugh, then talks up for her.
"Can you take me up too, please, madame? I am curious how it looks from there." she shouts up, uncaring of the toast, people and by large, the world. They are crazy after all, and if they just shoo her away then she deserves some fun! That thing will spring into her mind.

Cat-like blue-green eyes watched the proceedings, and though
she did curtsy with the rest of the ladies when Diamond and Serenity arrived,
she didn’t look respectfully away, as would have been expected when in the
presence of one’s sovereigns. No, Rhea was far too proud a woman for that, and
believed herself far too entitled to the throne. She would bide her time, for
now, but eventually… someday, she would take back what was rightfully hers. And
meanwhile, a second pair of eyes, though disembodied, watched as well, from
behind Rhea’s own. Sam was scared, she wouldn’t deny that, of the snake – no,
the dragon that had been sleeping inside her head for her entire life, but
she knew that she couldn’t be a scared little girl ruled by her emotions
anymore. She needed… she needed to take her body back from Rhea, somehow,
someway, and to get back to her brother’s side, where she knew that she
belonged. But first, she thought, forcing her hysteria aside, she needed to
take a leaf out of Rhea’s own book… and gather information. She wasn’t stupid
or naïve enough to think that the White Moon wouldn’t take her back after what
she had done without something of use to them. And so she would, for now, do
just as Rhea had done: she would watch, and wait, and gather intelligence so
that she might be of some use to her brother.
